Description
In this position, you will be reporting to Fab Director and working with other factory staff to lead the Fab organization. These are the first local senior leadership positions and will include:
- Director of Process Engineering
- Director of Industrial Engineering
- Director of Manufacturing
- Director of Manufacturing Systems
- Director of Technical Training
- Director of Sort Engineering
Applying to this posting will allow you to be considered for all director level positions available at this time. You will be calling out their position preference in application, but will be considered for all as appropriate. These are local China hire positions and are not expatriate assignments. It will require training assignment in the US for approximately one year before locating to China.
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Leading the technical and process-transfer effort to optimize the start up of fab in China
- Working with existing 300mm fabs around the world to improve tool and process performance, reduce cost, and increase flexibility in process transfer
- Providing factory leadership and management for proactive tactical planning and execution of the production ramp, resource planning and/or management, and tool and labor productivity improvements
- Leading and coordinating teams to develop inventive fab strategies and systems to improve execution and efficiency in a high-volume manufacturing environment
Qualifications
You should possess a Bachelor's or a Master's degree or a Doctorate in Engineering and more than ten years related experience at the Department or Director level. Additional qualifications include:
- Good understanding of factory and/or fabrication operations
- A strong understanding of semiconductor process flow technology issues, manufacturing science and systems, and engineering applications
- Working knowledge of technical development, as well as demonstrated experience establishing and maintaining successful relationships with partner organizations, internal and external, to drive aggressive roadmaps
- Ability to travel and/or temporarily relocate to the US to support training and project startup
- Demonstrated passion towards innovation and risk-taking in order to achieve excellence in 's first fab in Asia
- Experience in transfer, start up, and ramp of a high volume manufacturing facility, preferably running 300mm wafer fab processes
- Fluency in Mandarin would be an added advantage
