quite touched by this, this refresh my memory of China custom when I left it on 2002, that is my first time to use the new version Chinese passprt and it is also my last time to use it. I still remember the officer stop me and kept asking me where is my cancelled old passport. I told him it was collected by local police officer as a normal process and my record in their pc and my new passport is validated. there is no reason to stop me to take a flight in HK airport. You guess what did he say? He said, this is China, you need bring all your old passports together with you to travel the world. my godness, really lose my sense of humor and quarrelled with him on the spot...... finally he gave up and let me pass but such "good" experience really educate me a lot.
