London hedge fund seeks EU public finance IO
An established FX hedge fund based in London. Reporting to the Chife Intellegence Officer/Head of EU Intellegence, the role requires a bright, energetic person to assist with the daily EU public finance intellegence gathering, analysising and reporting. Ability to thrive in a medium size entrepreneurial working environment is important.
The Role
Build relationships and liaise extensively with external contacts in continent Europe.
Preparation of daily streaming EU public finance fact report and analysis report to front office analysts and traders .
Preparation of monthly fact sheets, performance summaries and trans-atlantic comparative public finance report.
Assist in the development and ongoing improvement of intellegence gathering procedures and processes.
Assist in analysis of fund itself and underlying hedge funds (using Pertrac or similar software)
Ad hoc project work reporting to the Chief Intellegence Officer/Head of EU Intellegence.
Frenquent travel to Brussels and Frankfurt.
The Candidate
Skills and Qualifications
2+ years public communication/media (or similar industry) working experience.
Public finance/Economics/Politics/Media postgraduate with strong numerical skills.
Strong competitive intellegence gathering and analysis skills.
Strong interpersonal communication skills.
Strong telphone and typing reporting skills.
FX hedging experience preferred but not essential as training will be given.
Strong IT skills, particularly Excel and experience of Pertrac (or similar software)
English and Mandarin Chinese speaker prefered.

Diligent, with a high level of attention to detail
Resilient under pressure
Flexible with ability to work alone and in a team
Pro-active, self-motivating and willing to be involved in all aspects of the operation.
Type
Fixed one year contract with potential change to permanent.
Salary/Rate
Well above market average
