Location: Beijing/Shanghai, China

Geographic Responsibility: China

objectives
The Manager, Business Operations Programs will report directly to the Director of Business Operations of China and will manage key programs and day to day sales operations within the Business Operations function of SAP China

This role requires an experienced general manager with significant experience working with sales teams and customers in China. The person will have strong sales management and operational experience combined with a hands-on approach and bias towards execution and business outcomes. .

· He/she will be a well-rounded Business Leader who has demonstrated his/her ability to build/drive/manage a business operation.

· It is essential for the candidate to have strong network influencing skills. The ability to effectively manage “up” and build strong ties with the sales managers and VP’s will be critical.

Responsibilities
· The Manager, Field Operations will be responsible for daily cadence of industry teams.
· Conduct periodic operations reviews to cascade the strategy and process and ensure compliance.
· Ensure that sales technologies and sale tool systems support the sales strategy and process.
· Monitor on a regular basis and provide guidance to Management on how to deliver on the commitments.
· Build reporting capability to show pipeline performance and sales cycle dynamics by various product or sub-industry groupings.
· Ensure that pipeline supports sales booking forecasts. Identify performance standards
· Establish and implement performance measures designed to track and report progress against the sales strategy.
· Help to ensure sales quotas reflect market opportunity versus past performance.
· Use sales quotas and territories as key tools to maximize sales productivity.
· Work with AE’s and SM’s on develop and review territory plans
· Manage the workload and schedules to achieve desired deliverables.
· Identify, highlight and report against best in class performance to build overall sales effectiveness.

Experience/Skills

Assertive individual with excellent business acumen
Ability to manage cross-functional teams – regional and global – including building strategies, implementing change processes, managing and measuring performance and progress
IT SW industry sales and/or operations experience is prefered
Experienced in doing business in China and understand the cultural, commercial and political influences on the market
Strong planning, organizational, analytical and presentation skills
