The supply chain Director oversees the steps that comprise the supply chain process: planning, purchasing, manufacturing, logistics and distribution. She/He has a reporting line with CEO, China. The position is a member of Executive Committee (“Excom”).
Duties and Responsibilities:
A. Supply Planning
1. Directs the process which includes the planning of procurement, production, inventory control, logistics and distribution.
2. Ensures that every step of the process is functioning effectively to avoid costly delays and lost sales opportunities.
3. Ensures the availability of materials in the supply chain, as scheduled, and the maintenance of inventory at minimum acceptable levels.
4. Reviews and plans requirements for acceptable inventory levels (FG).
5. Manages the Manufacturing Demand/Supply functions.
6. Structures and/or restructure and develop Demand/Supply model to support the company's business goals.
7. Provides operational analysis and planning support to Product Management.
8. Maintain continuous knowledge of company sales & market trends of products manufactured at the plant to determine current inventory volumes and future materials and inventory needs.
B. Logistic (Domestic, Export and Import) & Inventory Management
9. Determines short-term and long-term inventory control needs relative to the availability of materials for manufacturing.
10. Plan and implement activities related to the timely, cost-effective inventory control.
11. Coordinates with finance/accounting on matters involving inventory carrying costs, WCR target, Free Cash Flow and Financial targets in accordance with known operational needs, strategies and objectives
12. Develops and run the required end-to-end product supply chain capabilities together with other central support function, in alignment with cost, improve customer service level (quality/reliability) and other key company deliverables (OTIFIC)
13. Manages Master Production Schedules (MPS), Purchasing, Material Control and Warehousing to optimize Customer Service, Inventory Management, Slow Moving and Capacity utilization loading of the Operations through development of an accurate demand/forecast, parts delivery and shipment plans.
C. Procurement
14. Manages and oversee the procurement of all goods, supplies, and services to support the production cycle time requirements of the plant through negotiation/bid with the most favorable prices, quality and delivery time.
15. Maintain knowledge and awareness of market changes in commodities to be purchased to ensure the availability of products/materials for manufacturing functions at competitive prices and within alternate sources of supply to meet production requirements of the plant.
16. Develops and maintain effective contacts and working relationships with key suppliers.
17. Manages and oversee the award and administration of purchase orders and agreements in accordance with established company policies and procedures; resolve promptly any supplier problems.
18. Manages and coordinate quality audit programs (ISO) for new and existing suppliers; meet with suppliers to discuss product specifications, product quality, etc
19. Develops programs for potential cost improvements within the procurement process that will continually improve support to the manufacturing materials availability and timing needs.
D. System Improvement (JDE)
20. Develops and manage automated information systems to plan, monitor, and coordinates on-going inventory levels to provide maximum support for the production needs of the plant and service level.
E. People
21. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel of Supply Chain Dept. to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
22. Plan training, coaching and guidance to all subordinate supervisory and other employees to ensure their knowledge and use of accepted work processes and standards.
F. Cost Reduction and Process Improvement
23. Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and material control systems to reduce costs, streamline procedures, and implement solutions.
G. Internal Control
24. Remain knowledgeable of required personnel-related policies and procedures of the company; monitor and correct employee actions of behavior to ensure adherence with required policies, procedures, systems, and rules.
H. Export (Sales Service)
25. Maintain and improve Contribution Margin level
26. Follow up enquiry & cargo readiness
27. Provides Selling price and any document supporting needed
28. Strict Monitor on payment collection (A/R)
I. Safety
29. Champion of Roadmap Safety Transport, to ensure that all Transporters are comply with Company Safety Transport Regulation.
