RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
·Ensure the company’s financial statements and records are maintained in accordance with local and US generally accepted accounting principles
·Responsible for compliance with software revenue recognition policies and rules (specifically SOP 97-2) and establishing and enforcing internal controls and processes for proper revenue recognition.
·Work with Sales and Corporate Counsel on customer software license agreements and contract issues.
·Meet all local and other reporting requirements for the China entities including VAT and sales taxes, corporate taxation, transfer pricing, statutory accounting and audit.
·Manage the financial analysis activities providing for the analysis and interpretation of past, present and indicated future results of the business relating to sales, costs, profits, and balance sheet items.
·Assist with the annual budgeting process.
·Manage the China ERP systems instance (SAP) with IT, including any installations or modifications to the system.Manage the China finance function to train, supervise, develop, motivate and evaluate department staff.
Develop, document and implement accounting policies and procedures on an ongoing basis. Develop, document and implement internal and management controls.
·Provide accounting policy orientation for the China entity.
·Support the Board of Directors and Executive management as well as other duties as assigned by the CFO and Corporate Controller.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
· 8-12 years experience as a finance professional in China and qualified as a Chartered or Certified accountant.
·Previous experience of working for a US group including knowledge of US GAAP, software revenue recognition rules and SOX requirements an advantage.
·Ability to be adaptable and manage competing responsibilities and deadlines in a timely and efficient manner as an individual contributor and through your team.
·Strong interpersonal skills (written and verbal) and be able to manage conflict, adversity and negotiate resolution.
·Global Team dynamics – works effectively with team members and supports department and company goals across various time zones.
·Strong IT skills, ideally to include familiarity with SAP.
·Proactive and solution oriented

·Proven ability to facilitate group/team sessions
·Experience working in a global, multilingual organization
·Must be able to work well with others as part of a team
Preferred:
·3 years work experience in the software technology industry
Education/Certification/Licensing:
·BA /BS in Accounting or Finance
·CPA Designation
