Tasks
• Responsible for the end-to-end software development process of the specific infotainment software solutions (apps) from technical design to SoP with respect to cost, quality and time Software development for vehicle components especially infotainment and body electronics.

Qualifications
Education
Four year degree in Electric/Electronic Engineering (Bachelor, Master, Diplom), Information Technology (Bachelor, Master, Diplom) or computer science or equivalent.
Core Competencies
• Excellent understanding of common software programming languages and coding skills.
• Excellent understanding of software programming architecture.
• Passion for coding.
Required Qualifications
• Familiar with object orientated software development and do have extensive hands on experience with larger projects in C/C++, objective-C, Java (J2SE/J2ME/Android).
• Knowledge of other client side technolgoies like Adobe Flash/Flex, javascript applications and according runtimes is a plus.
• experiece with state of the art technologies to implement those applications, e.g. HTTP/REST, Web Services/xml RPC, etc..
• Expected knowledge includes software development processes, testing methods as well as software quality management.
• Knowledge of vehicle infotainment systems based on QNX, WindowsCE or Linux and automotive bus systems (CAN/MOST/FlexRay) is appreciated.
• Basic requirements for this position include advanced team and communication skills, capability to independently deal with multi-layered technical challenges along with senior project and process management skills.

• Known to Chinese market to evaluate customer function.

Qualifications
Education

InCar Image Recognition and Algorithm Design
Key objectives
BMW is driving innovative integration concepts between smartphone devices and connected vehicles.
This position is set up to develop and implement innovative customer features and services based on apps; it's main focus lies in solutions to offer infotainment on the road.
Major Responsibilities
Within the scope of InCar camera system, you are responsible for developing SW for face and gesticulation recognition of driver and passengers. You should find proper SW solutions from technical design to SoP with respect to meet BMW customers premium standards.
Furthermore you will have close collaberation with 2nd and 3rd party development in China and the Headquarter in Germany.
Education / Degree:
Master University Degree in informatics, information science or equivalent.
Work Experience
Camera recognition SW Development.
More than 2 years and more than 2 projects experience is mandatory. Drivers licence is helpful.
Knowledge / Skills
You acquired substantial knowledge and experience in camere recognition Systems and Algorithms. Ideally you have been working in this specific field for more than 2 years.
Knowledge of vehicle infotainment, body electronics and embedded SW development is appreciated.
Basic requirements for this position include advanced team and communication skills, capability to independently deal with multi-layered technical challenges along with senior project and process management skills.
Fluent English is essential.
InCar Usability and Concepts (Interior and Human Machine Interface)

Major responsibilities:
Within the scope of HMI Development (Human Machine Interface), you are responsible for the usability Concepts within specific Head Units and infotainment Systems and infotainment software solutions (apps) from technical design to SoP with respect to meet BMW customers premium standards.
Furthermore, you will be resposible for the integration of usability concepts into the vehicle by providing the appropiate specifications for the software development.
Education / Degree:
Master University Degree in informatics, information science or equivalent.
Knowledge / Skills /Competences
You acquired substantial knowledge and experience in usability and design concepts in the fields of vehicle infotainment and also on mobile devices. Ideally you already have experience in app development for Head Unit Systems and smartphones, e.g. iPhone, Blackberry or Android.
Knowledge of vehicle infotainment systems and HMI design processes is appreciated.
Basic requirements for this position include advanced team and communication skills, capability to independently deal with multi-layered technical challenges along with senior project and process management skills.
Fluent English is essential.
