Overall responsibilities include developing concept features, testing concepts, getting and understanding the regional requirements and carrier branding services from the regions, in close collaboration with Regional Product Marketing and Go-To-Market teams. This person will also work closely with the Product line managers to ensure concepts are executed within scopes.
Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
• Concrete new concepts, develop key features, simulate cost/ASP, ensure the right positioning in the whole portfolio
• Communicate with RPM and regional team, participate customer meetings, get marketing feedback on new concepts
• Understand customer requirement, carrier brand services and customer portfolio strategy
• Work closely with Product Marketing and CCS from the ideation to project KO
• Contribute to concept creation by providing market information and regional requirement and feedback
• Some travels required
Main Criteria:
• Strong understanding/interest in cell phone industry and market.
• Ability to determine nice-to-have, must-have and hygiene features at respective price points with business acumen.
• Preferably new product development experience, preferably in consumer electronics industry and preferably mobile/computing industry.
• Excellent English and Mandarin oral and verbal communication skills as well as presentation skills.
• Bachelor’s Degree required. Preferably MBA with technical background.
Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelors Degree required, MBA with Marketing emphasis strongly preferred.
• 3-5 years related work experience, preferably in classic marketing environment, such as consumer packaged goods.
• Broad perspective of business operations, preferably in a large corporate environment.
• Demonstrated success in all aspects of market analysis and product marketing.
• Experienced with produce development and GTM executions.
• Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate and integrate cross-functionally.
• Solid oral and written communication skills (both English and Mandarin)
• Past experience with face-to-face customer meetings preferred.
• Able to effectively organize, plan and manage multiple projects.
• High level of motivation, initiative, and energy.
• Action and results-oriented.
