JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Financial Controller
Department: Finance & Accounts
Report To: Group Finance Director of CBHKGM of the brewery
Staff Directly Reporting to This Position:
Job Summary:Accountable directly to the GM of the Brewery, the appointee will assume responsibility for the financial accounting, budgeting, costing, taxation as well as purchasing, IT and personnel functions. The appointee will be required to liaise extensively with local tax authorities, bankers and external auditors, establishing effective working relationships.To provide management, head office users timely and accurate financial reporting and analysis to facilitate decision making and managing of the brewery’s business effectively. To establish and improve procedures to facilitate above reporting. To train and develop staff to improve their working efficiencies.
Job Responsibilities:1. To prepare budget through consultation with the Group Financial Controller / General Manager and the heads of various departments.2. To monitor actual to budget performance through detail monitoring of monthly expenses incurred by each department.3. To prepare quarterly forecast based on input from General Manager, head office and coordination with various departments4. To prepare financial and management reports required by shareholders.5. To prepare relevant management information as required by management from time to time.6. To improve control over free beer, expenses, accrual procedures by establishing proper procedures in these areas.7. To establish policies and procedures on financial aspect to facilitate control function8. To provide and maintain assurance and controls to safeguard the company’s resources and assets, and to ensure established the company’s policies and procedures are complied with in order to ensure that fiduciary duties and responsibilities are properly discharged.9. To assure overall tax planning functions to ensure that the tax liabilities are minimized.10. To develop professional competence and motivate subordinates by setting standards and to provide supervision, periodic appraisals and feedback. 11. To review and implement ERP system in the brewery12. To assist the Group Financial Controller and GM in other related areas and duties
Job Specifications
Education / Qualification:· Qualified Accountant with university degree
Working Experience:· Over 7 years relevant experience of which 2 years of supervisory level
Special Training Required:l Hands on ERP experience is preferable
Other Skills:l Hands on PC skills including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook is necessaryl Good spoken and written English
