Software Specialist/Architect (1 vac.)(Digital Audio, Embedded System)
Responsibilities
1. Software Project initiation, Requirements Engineering, Concept Evaluation, Architecture Assessment.
2. Development of Software architecture, integration architecture, test strategy, test plan, technology roadmaps, function roadmaps.
3. Supplier Scouting, Auditing/Assessment, Supplier Product Maturity Evaluation and risk management.
4. Co-responsible for project performance and supplier deliverables.
5. Contributes towards the software group building software process improvement, infrastructure, methods.
6. Will work closely with ODM team.
Job Requirements
?? Master of Engineering /Technology (Electronics with significant software engineering content).
?? 8 to 10 years of software development experience embedded, at least 2 years as software project leader in projects with external software supplier.
?? Software Engineering (Embedded & PC), Development experience in C.
?? Knowledge of at least 2 real-time OS.
?? Should have Worked on 8 bit/ 16 bit/ 32 bit architectures.
?? Strong Software process background, hands-on expertise in software architecting, experience in integration complex software, coaching skills.
?? Influencing skills, communication skills, problem solving skills, result-orientation, process-orientation.

Software Manager (Digital Audio, Embedded System)
Responsibilites:
1. Determines, in consultation with the SW management Team, the department??s objectives and policies on short and long term, makes sure the organization can meet the objectives and ensures that the roles and responsibilities are put in place;
2. Is co-responsible for achieving the architecture policy;
3. Draws up the departmental budget with regard to costs and investments; monitors the budget and sets priorities;
4. Is a member of the Development Management practices regarding recruitment and selection, adequate staffing, remuneration, performance appraisals, education and training, and management development policy;
5. Determines the department??s policy on subcontracting selection and contracts and negotiates with the appropriate software firms regarding temporary employees;
6. Makes sure that internal business processes are defined and maintained and ensures that their quality levels are appropriate;
7. Guides Project Managers and Project Leaders and ensures the optimal allocation of personnel to the projects and effective project management;
8. Is co-responsible for achieving operational plans;
9. Ensures that there are adequate resources and tools at the proper time, is responsible for the software technology and software architecture in the department, and is responsible for maintaining and improving the department??s knowledge and expertise;
10. Ensures a good co-operation with other disciplines and departments;
11. Keeps abreast of technical and organizational developments in own professional field and maintains contacts with other R&D centers and universities;
12. Determines or contributes to the ?°Make or Buy?± policy like outsourcing, purchasing or secondary suppliers.
