POSITION TITLE: Business Consultant, Professional Services
Location: Beijing & Guangzhou
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION
Defining and documenting application architecture on the solution under development;
Provide professional services to customer based on products including solution architecture, application development and training and mentoring;
Produce deliverables that meet the engagement schedule and budget and satisfy client requirements;
Develop documentation that meets relevant quality standards, is technically accurate, and fulfills
engagement objectives;
Provide onsite customer mentoring and support of one or more BEA products.

In-depth knowledge of key BEA products, including Weblogic platform and/or Tuxedo
Working knowledge of distributed object models (OMG CORBA, Java/RMI)
In-depth knowledge of J2EE platform specifications
In-depth knowledge of UML and architecture modeling tools
Working knowledge of system connectivity, scalability, clustering, and high availability
Working knowledge of distributed operating systems (UNIX, NT)
Familiar with transaction processing
Working knowledge of Object-oriented Analysis and Design
In-depth knowledge of software development languages, including C, C++, and Java
In-depth knowledge of Parlay/Parlay X will be an add-on advantage
Familiar with XML
Familiar with databases and data manipulation languages, such as SQL
SUGGESTED REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION
Typically 5+ years relevant technical work experience
Typical experience in consulting and/or developing software solutions in distributed computing systems area
At least 3 year solid software design and development experience in Telco industry
Hands-on development/implementation experience for portal/EAI projects, value added solutions in mobile industry will be an add-on advantage
Education: B.S. degree, preferably in computer science, information systems, engineering, or mathematics
Ability and willingness for frequent travel, or station at customer site, as necessary
