A technology related Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of training and experience plus 8 years of related experience. Requires experience in a customer environment with knowledge of specific customer applications. Requires demonstrated technical expertise in the areas of design and development of PC platform and/or system-level design. Demonstrates leadership ability preferred. An advanced degree is preferred and may reduce the minimum experience requirement.

Key Functions:
Depending on the specific project assignment, will perform applicable functions from the following:
- Participate in the development of product strategy including defining markets, potential customers, and customers’ needs.
- Ensures projects are developed using the company development process and that project schedules are met.
- Oversee the development of the detailed Platform specifications and development schedules derived from the needs of target customers.
- Oversee the development of company based Platform including assessing performance criteria, evaluating cost effectiveness and interfacing with the customer.
- Oversee and participate in initial platform project proposals and subsequent product development plans, ensuring plans are technically sound and development costs are accurate.
- Oversee writing, review and execution of Platform bring-up and Engineering test plans
- Oversee support of Platform/Silicon Validation and Debug.
- Interface with Program Management to develop detailed schedules, present platform plans and report project Status, milestones, and issues.
- Interface with Signal integrity and Product Development teams to ensure product meets processor specific design rules, and assure fundamental manufacturing requirements are followed.
- Interface with the Engineering CAD support team to insure Platform development uses company’s CAD tool design methodology.
- Interface with IEG and Marketing to resolve customer issues.
- Effectively Manage Engineering personnel, and communicate employee performance using GPM tools.
Accountability:
- Responsible for ensuring Product Development Plans, including project schedule and cost estimates are adhered to.
