This is a global role within a corporate headquarters environment with an international focus.
Location:
based in Shenzhen or Beijing, China
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement worldwide media relations strategy and plans
2. Work with global media relations team to achieve desired results
3. Provide crisis communications counsel and support
4. Provide media relations support for interviews and facilitate campus visits
1. Support outreach at media events and trade shows
2. Build and maintain good relations with international media
3. Execute media relations component of integrated marketing communication campaigns
4. Develop media collaterals, such as news releases, biographies, facts sheets, etc.
5. Collaborate with PR agency partners to manage programs and related budgets
Requirements:
1. Minimum 8 years of corporate communications or public relations experience in an agency or a corporate environment
2. Strong strategic thinker and planner and able to provide leadership on crisis and issues management
3. Proven experience in building and maintaining good media relations
4. Exposure to telecommunications/IT industry or business-to-business environment is an added advantage
5. Excellent writing ability with experience in different forms of corporate and executive communications, from business releases to executive talking points
6. Highly developed project management skills and able to multi-task
7. Excellent English language skills required. Fluency in Mandarin preferred
8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Independent, self-motivated, able to work under pressure and cope with fast-pace working culture
