Responsibilities:
1，Participate in software requirement gathering and analysis phase to ensure that all requirements are testable.
2，Execute test plan and periodically report results
3，Coach/train/mentor engineers on best practices for system testing including automated testing and validation
4，Ensure highest quality of testing through reviews of processes, test plans, procedures, and results
5，Support the team in developing testing methodologies for existing and new technologies
6，Actively support team usage of defect tracking system and metrics capturing tools
7，Ensure alignment of test coverage with product requirements and engineering functional specifications
8，Interfaces and works directly with test team members and other engineering functional groups in the metro access engineering team
9，Motivate team to excellence in both productivity and quality
The following requirements are expected for applicable candidates
1，BS degree or higher in a communication, electronics, computer science or related majors
2，Extensive prior experience in hardware engineering, software engineering, quality engineering work experience
3，Extensive prior experience in developing and implementing test plans and procedures and test documentation
4，Understanding of QA methodologies as applied to telecommunications, networking products, and similar systems
5，Troubleshooting skills with demonstrated experience isolating complex hardware/software issues to root cause
6，Sound skills in reading, writing and oral English
7，Good people skill, good at coordinating work among peers and interfacing with other functional groups, and a quick learner of new technologies and development areas
8，Should be a master of technology in one of the following areas and extensive expertise in all other areas.
o DWDM, SONET/SDH, Packet Optical Networks.
9，Proven contributions in SW or HW design through reviews and/or advanced test methodologies.
10，Proven ability to provide creative solutions to the complex problems and influence the product design.
11，Ability to scope out the test and measuring equipment requirements based on the business need.
12，Ability to coach and mentor Junior members of the team.

MS: 5+ yrs
PhD:3+ yrs"
