Position Title: Asia Exclusive Brands Operations Manager
Dept: EXB Asia Business Development
Division: Shanghai
Report to: Director of Asia Exclusive Brand Business Development
Role Summary:
The operations manager is responsible for the day to day functional running of the agreed Exclusive brand assortments ensuring they are introduced into the overall assortment in a timely and efficient manner by working with the Domain & Demand Planning Teams and the Global Capabilities. Once in the business the role is responsible for developing the global relationships to continually strive for group efficiencies;
This function collaborates closely with the Domain Teams, Demand Planning in Asia Region, Sourcing Operations and Sourcing Cross-functional Teams. It also interacts with the “Centers of Excellence” (COE‟s) of Legal, Enterprise Supply Chain, DC and Finance;
The key skills required for this position are Problem Solving, troubleshooting, Communication, Organizational Skills, People Skills, and the ability to influence without authority;
Key Responsibilities:
Enterprise Capability
Work closely with the Regional Category Leads to identify the potential range introductions and liaise with the Demand Planners to agree initial forecast quantities;
Be responsible for ensuring that the product set-up and initial PO‟s are processed within the stated critical path;
Formulated procedure for the management of initial PO‟s and continual management of each Domain against the SOP’s;
Maintain with the analyst a scorecard for ongoing efficiencies across all domains;
Process PO‟s from the DP teams and co-ordinate the overall processing to the CBT and onto the china centre;
Serve as the Operations Lead in defining and evolving Global & Regional SOP’s Processes, and Tool development;
Liaise with the Global teams to maximize efficiencies for the global operation;
Responsible for managing ExB relationships with Demand planning and for educating business team partners on production lead-time considerations for build to order exclusive products and the process impacts this has for item planning, forecast management, transition planning and holiday execution;
Manage the Asia ExB category financial goals. (Owned Inventory, stock cover, and inventory management);
Set up regular rhythms of meetings with business teams for ongoing product management ensuring that stock and availability are within KPI‟s and supports at PSI Meetings;
Work with the Domain Planning teams to take action where the product performance dictates. Actual sales not in line with Forecasts;
Global lead-time management. Work with the Asia and US teams to determine and maintain best practice across all regions and destinations;
Own the broader operational partnerships on behalf of ExB with Global ExB operational teams, import/export logistics, and finance;
Work in partnership with the local supply chain team to ensure that all products set up are within legal and import requirements, ensure that all parties are aware and understand correct operating procedures for importing product;
Liaise with the US and Asia team to leverage global scale to deliver local savings;
Owns the development plans for the relationship with all leadership partners, including, supply chain, finance, legal, environmental, Tax, Domains;
Owns the operational relationship with company and be the operational conduit for ExB global operations (based on the U.S.);
Project management responsibilities for all new global opportunities. Work with all the relevant parties to deliver a strategy proposal to Asia leadership;
Manage partnerships with ExB Global sourcing teams based in China, Taiwan and the US to ensure production planning and procurement activities are executed as needed to support inventory demand, also to ensure the most effective and efficient supply chain strategy is in place for a given product category (postponement, rapid replenishment etc), provide direct feedback for manufacturing score carding and evaluation process in partnership with the sourcing teams;
Assist Demand Planning in developing strategies to address any overstock, end-of-life ExB Inventory issues;
Manage the Operations Analyst
Manage the analyst to deliver the required information on time and accurate;
Responsible for the ongoing workload and development programs;
Report Management
Write and maintain all range management reports to ensure the required information is produced to manage the brands based on guidance from Global ExB Operations Process Manager (based on U.S.);
Work with the Product and Commercialization manager to efficiently transition ranges to ensure availability gaps are minimized;
Manage the Analyst to ensure that all required reports are maintained and remain 100 % accurate;
Lead the Operations portion for the ExB BPM Process;
Communications
Interface with the key Operations COE‟s on process improvement;
Communicate key Operations/Inventory updates to the International Sourcing Hubs;
Responsible for communicating any Demand Planning or COE Process changes to the Sourcing Hubs;
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree above Major in Business Management, MBA preferred;
Over 6 years MNC experience in Operations in Global Sourcing or 3rd party logistics is preferred;
3 years above People management experience
Strategic thinking ability, Initiative, result-oriented;
Macro perspective, possess business acumen and good sense of balance in the face of possible demands for priority attention from different units in the organization;
Strong, capable organization leadership skill;
Excellent oral and written communication and Interpersonal skills. Fluent in Mandarin and English. Japanese is a plus;
Customer service oriented;
Positive working attitude and able to work under pressure and time constraints to meet targets;
Strong leadership/influencing skills;
Willing to work and communicate in a multiple time zone environment;
Comfortable with Ambiguity and building a plan with limited input
