Client:
A China branch office of a big European Group which is specialized in providing a wide range of lighting for both commercial and domestic use.

Recruitment process:
+ Telephone interviews
+ Face-to-face interviews
Responsibilities:
+ Provide comprehensive day to day management of China Branch in line with requirements from the Group
+ Ensure all resources are maximized whilst devising and implementing continuous improvement actions as necessary
+ Effective day to day leadership and management of all departments, set and agree clear output objectives with staff
+ Ensure the effective day to day communication between China staff and staff from each subsidiary teams
+ Review and improve practices and procedures, report back to staff from each subsidiary and Group
+ Improve the requirements necessary to standard of service, practices, procedures and communication
+ Stabilize and develop existing staff improving moral, team work, identifying training and personal development needs in line with staff from each subsidiary requirements and new technologies
+ Develop QC (quality control) procedures both internally and externally as well as review and improve QC training in line with staff from each subsidiary and Group requirements
+ Assess the requirements and manage the recruitment of staff as well as review staff roles and ensure cover is in place for staff absences
+ Ensure the team is staffed with qualified, motivated, disciplined and professional employees
+ Ensure the health, safety and welfare by adherence to company safety policies, guidelines and instructions
+ Ensure that the office operates effectively within budget and to establish a regime whereby costs are continually regulated
+ Ensure that the quality ethic is adopted throughout the office with regard to individuals attitudes, words and deeds
Requirements:
+ Knowledge of Chinese Labor Laws, Health and Safety legislation as well as staff management
+ Experience of working with the European sector and project management as well as Sourcing & Trading in China
+ Understand leading European retailers, their environment and legal requirements
+ Experience in a Giftware / Small Electrical Appliance background is preferred
+ Strong negotiation and process mapping skills as well as computer literate
+ Confident, articulate and able to communicate directly with customers and suppliers
+ Technical and commercial awareness as well as self-motivated
+ Have relevant work visa in place and be prepared to travel
+ Fluent in written and spoken English and Mandarin
+ Fluent Cantonese is preferred
+ Willing to work and live in Shenzhen
