Position: Business Development Manager
Report to: Executive Vice President
Location: Beijing, China
Main Statement of the Job:
Responsible for supporting the expansion of company’s business relationships through usage of market research and analysis skills. Coordinates closely with US-based business development team, as well as China-based sales management to identify interesting pipeline products, and/or determine interest in pursuit of new product lines. Manages market research and prepares analyses and initial recommendations based on market conditions and opinions of sales team and potential purchasers and end users. Interfaces with regulatory team to understand regulatory requirements to be met prior to market entry and related timing to product launch.
Typical Responsibilities & Roles Include:
· Maintain regular contact with management of sales operations in China and business development team in the US to stay abreast of business development/product/growth needs within Chindex.
· Closely follow trends in China’s medical device market, identifying potential opportunities for new products and services that are synergistic with current product offerings and which may be of interest to sales teams.
· Respond to queries from US-based Chindex business development team regarding potential cooperation in the China market with newly-contacted manufacturers. Utilize information gathered from sales teams and potential end users/experts to develop summary market studies for presentation to potential clients.
· Prepare market entry and product sector overviews and presentations for use in marketing and business development.

Education & Experience Requirement with the Position:
· BA/MA in a related field (business, healthcare, etc.)
· Fluency in English and Chinese
· Deep understanding of and substantial working experience in Chinese medical device market
· Strong English written communication/presentation skills
