Engineering Manager, Web Applications Development (San Jose, CA)
Candidate will responsible for the managing China engineering team at PayPal.
Responsibility:
•； Ensuring the Architecture meets the needs of the business and technology groups
•； Provides direction and assign tasks to team members
•； Identifies or creates solutions that are likely to contribute to the development of new company concepts
•； Interfaces with all levels of management to negotiate project priorities and outcomes
•； Have substantial functional knowledge to provide technical leadership
•； Interface with management and technical experts regarding resolution of key technical problems
•； Develop functional processes and operational policies within the areas managed
•； Able to reach appropriate resolutions in many varied situations without damaging internal or external relationships
•； Ease with senior management - can effectively interface at many levels with top executives
•； Work with only general instructions within areas of responsibility
•； Convey information to senior management
Qualification:
•； 8+ years experience in software development
•； 3+ years experience in managerial roles of technical groups
•； Able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals
•； B.S. degree in CS or related major
Desirable:
•； 2+ years experience with project management
•； 2+ year experience with web site development
•； Experienced in high velocity software development organizations
•； M.S. degree in CS or related major
