Principal accountabilities
Based in Dalian, China, you will oversee the e-Business site management operation, remotely supporting Japan’s online products and services.
§ Manage all elements of the content development and production process to agree service levels and project launch dates on .com.
§ Proactively work with the Marketing Ops and eBusiness teams to create optimal use of the real estate on .com to enhance conversion rates - communicating upgrade features and functionality and determining how these can be utilized.
§ Build relationship with marketing and services to explore solutions, strategies to better align JP’s content management with business goals.
§ Continuous development of methodologies, techniques to improve productivity, cost efficiencies of contents development and deployment cycle time.
§ Continuous development and enhancements of metrics to measure content quality and standard compliance [eg. Being compliant to MDA [Microsoft] standards, Legal, Policy and all others that are introduced over time].
§ Resources planning [eg. manpower and lead time] to match against project deliverable. Continuous review and acquiring of new team resources needs and technology/software training to maintain optimal readiness to meet business dynamics.
§ Enforcing QA compliant measures to monitor, audit, and take corrective steps in maintaining content publishing qualities. Enforcing strict adherence to agreed timeline of content deliverable.
§ Management and escalation of content publishing issues to closure. Provision of accurate reporting of purchase path tracking data to required business timelines and depth and management of vanity/obsolete URLs.
§ Build close relationship with application team to explore effective use of new STORM released functions and features.
Required education and other professional competencies
Communication Skill
§ Motivational Manager with strong analytical skills and organization agility, able to work effectively across functions/lines of business/external parties in a regional role, to build strong and dynamic team cohesion.
§ Good interpersonal skills with peers, subordinates, and upper management. Mature, results-oriented, meticulous, customer/stakeholder focused.
§ Good spoken and written skill in English, Mandarin. Possession of Japanese language skill [spoken, written] is ESSENTIAL.
Project management competency
§ Minimum 3/4 years of working experience in content site and/or project management in an IS/IT environment.
§ Experience in remote management preferable.
Business and Solution focus
§ Experience in establishing and delivering business requirements in a project or operational environment and interpreting these activities in business terms.
§ Strong awareness and experience in aligning IS/IT resources with business goals.
Education
§ Relevant tertiary degree or equivalent, and/or relevant working experience.
Technical Competencies
§ Possess technical knowledge on HTML, XML, ASP and general knowledge in OS and databases will be a definite advantage
