I do wish I had an hour or 3 to repeat my tale of our Govt inspection.
The entire university had to sit an exam on the perameters for the
inspection, including the retired people who lived on campus. The
students were not too fussed as they were allowed to cheat by their
teachers...
They were told to 'look joyful' while the inspection was on, we spent
unbelievable hours getting things in order, there were lists and lists
of lists. All animals had to be removed from the entire campus, the
vegetables were even pulled up to 'make the place look tidy'!!! For weeks
beforehand class monitors stopped all the students coming into the
building with food or drink, no one was allowed into class without the
university badge pinned to their clothes.
All cleaning staff were given new uniforms, some so stiff and
uncomfortable they could barely wield the mop, some purple track suits for the
canteen workers we suspected were on hire as we never saw them again
after the inspection.
Oh and yes, I was "inspected", the single comment passed on to me
being 'what a lovely scarf' - I still smile inside to remember it all, and
still miss China and the Chinese.

想起来前段时间有人写教委检查的事, 转一篇老外写的分享. 不太明白为什么要把蔬菜拔了? 哪里来的蔬菜? 中国这种公开的造假别说老外不习惯, 中国人看的惯的恐怕也不多. 我们不过是习惯了.
