Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Provide leadership, coaching, guidance and supervision to the China IT team.
2. Define and execute IT plan that is relative to China as well as Global IT, which aligns with the departmental and corporate IT plan.
3. Assist to formulate strategy and develop, manage and execute plan for staff retention and development for China.
4. Lead and orchestrate projects to meet the business and IT requirements within the cost and schedule constraint.
5. Deliver global IT solution at regional level and ensure maximum/optimum utilization.
6. Support internal clients mainly in the China business community with timely, prompt and innovative IT solution, while adhering to global IT policy and standards.
7. Assist to identify, develop and implement best practice IT processes, procedures and methodology for AP IT organization.
8. Form partnership with other IT teams to ensure effective utilization of IT resources in both regional and global levels.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Computer Science/Information Technology or other related disciplines with minimum 7-10 years working experience of leading team, system development and project management in related field.
Experience:
The position expects 7-10 years of relevant working experience, of which minumum 3 years in IT team management. Exposure in system development of different functions, implementation and support, as well as infrastructure deployment. The candidate should also possess strong project management skill with exposure to all steps of a complete project life cycle. Good business sense and leadership skills are highly desirable.
Other Requirements:
Solid experience in development with the following technologies:
Infrastructure and office automation
Oracle ERP, database, SQL and PL/SQL
Sound project management skills.
Good problem solving skill with strong business sense.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Good command of English. Mandarin is certainly a plus.
Excellent team work and good communication skills.
Able to work under pressure and with minimum supervision.
Be able to travel within and outside the region.
Frequent travel to China, if not located in China.
