I will go to Chicago for a conference in May. It is my first visit to that famous city in the mid-west, so I have the following questions for Da Xia in that region:

1. I reserve rooms with InterContinental on the North Michigan Ave., is that close to the downtown part of Chicago? Is that a safe district at night?

2. Any nice places to visit around that district?

3. Do you recommend renting a car or just using cab service?

4. Any nice restaurants around? Info on that is much appreciated.

5. How is the weather of Chicago in May? Hot and humid?
