The Office Chinese Technology Group in MBD China is a product development group located in China, the mission is 1) Develop the software/services/technologies to help improve people’s authoring productivity for both East Asian languages and English as the second languages; 2) Develop the Enterprise Search features/components to help improve Search relevancy and user experience, and also enable Microsoft’s Enterprise Search engine easily connect to various business systems.
The Search Connector project is an initiative in China for Enterprise Search. It’s a world-wide product and crucial to long-term success in Enterprise Search, MOSS. Search needs to connect to all useful repositories before it’s an enterprise/infrastructure solution, so the connectors are key components of Microsoft Enterprise Search solution. We are looking for a PM Lead or senior PM to define, drive and deliver high quality connectors for various business systems.
Job Responsibilities
This PM needs to understand the customers’ needs, competition landscape and status, define and design features/functionalities, write the spec, communicate and collaborate with Redmond counterparts, work closely with PM, Dev. and Test teams in China to drive the project and deliver the products on time with quality.
Qualifications
The candidate for this position will have the following qualifications:
A B.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or an equivalent degree
5+ years experience in program management, good understanding of software development process
Strong planning, problem solving, scheduling and product release management capability
Good skills to design features, functionalities and write high quality spec
Strong communication skills both for cross-group collaboration and also internal team’s collaboration
Passion and ability to work with planning, marketing to understand customer’s needs and market Landscape
The experiences in Enterprise Search, Business Systems (ECM, CRM, ERP, BI) is preferred.
