1. Drive and coordinate the development of Microsoft Openxml API and the integrations with document editing services. This includes communicating with the both internal and external partner teams and partners, doing product planning, writing specifications, coordinating development and testing activities, and ensuring the successful completion of projects with high quality and timeliness.
2. Set the vision of the product and team, Deeply understand the customer’s needs, Prioritize the customers, and Work with partner teams on the integrations and release strategy and plan.
3. Since this is to provide the future Office document development platform for Office and other MS products integrations as well as public developer community, the lead PM needs to meet with various partners to sell the platform, identifying the win-win integration opportunities, collecting the requirements, working with product teams and BG (marketing team) on release and shipping strategy and attending different developer conference and workshop on evangelism and presentations.
4. Manage and develop Openxml API PM team, make sure team’s deliverable to customers.
Qualifications
1.Visionary, strategic and being able to view the situation holistically, good sense of prioritization
2. Possess strong project management skills to ensure successful development of the product across multiple teams.
3. A minimum of 5 years of experience delivering commercial software products is required.
4. Great communications and presentation skills are a must in order to maintain a close and continuing communications channel with our customers and our partner teams in Redmond.
5. Passionate about understanding, managing and satisfying customer expectations. Great people skills even when working under pressure.
6. Deeply understands Office products, xml technology, Previous industry experience in documents or business data related developments is a plus.
7. A strong understanding of the software development process, demonstrated skill in architectural design ,writing specifications, and the ability to work effectively both within a team and cross-group to create designs and to identify and manage dependencies, and drive to resolve issues and ship.
8. Ability to thrive in a team environment and work closely with program manager, developers and testers in multiple locations.
