Main Responsibilities
Provide a high level of technical expertise in a mainframe environment.
Plan and coordinate projects related to Cobol, CICS, DB2, software upgrades and installations
Prepare and maintain technical documents. For example, Disaster recovery and Operations procedures.
Provide Cobol, CICS, DB2 and support for OUR COMPANY Client systems to ensure adherence to service level agreements.
Participate in projects as required eg: Applications releases, creating and maintaining.
Use knowledge of industry trends to take advantage of new or improved technology.
Qualifications
Minimum 6 years experience providing support in a CICS, DB2 mainframe environment
Skilled in Cobol programming language.
Demonstrated problem solving, resolution and performance monitoring skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills and team player. Flexible approach to working across multiple teams, and willingness to rotate between teams and activities. Must have a positive attitude with a ‘can do’ approach to both day to day support and challenging new tasks. Must have a strong Customer focus.
Excellent English skills in writing & reading, strong English in oral communication
Willingness to participate in on-call support arrangements.
Knowledge of newer technologies, techniques and emerging tools (e.g. CICSPlex, Web Sphere, TCP/IP, Sysplex).
Our clients require successful candidates to attain and maintain a Customs and ATO Highly Protected security clearance.
