PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Drive efficiencies in the Direct Marketing process by supporting consumer and / or small business segments to drive consistent and effective operations.
•To ensure that all deliveries conform to the agreed business processes and that compliance and best practice are met at all times.
•Work with database providers, other vendors and internal teams to improve Response Rates through segmentation and ROI measurements through the best use of customer and prospect data in Direct Marketing activity (including mailers and faxes).
•To support the marketing quarterly planning process as well as job specific planning. To champion the use of data-driven marketing within this process as appropriate.
•To champion and project lead on-going database enhancement and grounds-up marketing database development projects.
•To identify opportunities to increase the customer list volumes and improve the efficiencies of the existing lists.
•To ensure that all marketing database deliveries are accurate and timely. In particular, to ensure that the data used is accurate, ensuring that the direct marketing reaches as many potential customers as desired. Own to resolution any

mail requirements to Databases
Establish consistent infrastructure & process for Asia Pacific/Japan
Internal data management & database process support
Database vendor management ensuring process and infrastructure meets ’s requirements. Database budget management
DB issues resolution, including data quality & infrastructure
DB Project management, working with IT where appropriate
Build & champion database marketing business cases
Non DB data processing management

Requirements:
•5+ years of experience in Database Marketing, Direct Marketing or similar with a track record of delivering measurable results preferably in the IT industry. Preference for B-2-C and transactional B-2-B marketing experience.
•Good knowledge of marketing and circulation planning preferred including understanding of key direct marketing effectiveness metrics.
•Proficient technical skills (for example, Access, SQL, etc) with ability to marketing / sales focused solutions in fast moving environment.
•Experience in database development projects, including overall builds and enhancements required.
•Experience in database expansion programmes, including 3rd party alliances would be beneficial
•Proven track record of working within a geographically
dispersed, multi-functional team. Also, proven track record of choosing and managing 3rd party vendors for business critical deliveries.
•Good organizational agility and interpersonal skills to work effectively across functions and lines of business in a virtual organisation.
•Excellent spoken and written skills in English and Japanese / Chinese
