Job Description
As a software tester on the OpenView Identity Management engineering team, you will provide test coverage for Select Access (SA) patches, service packs and for new releases. You will be extending the Select Access QA team based in Toronto.

Responsibilities
* Gain thorough understanding of overall product architecture and key features to be able to train other testers within GDCC.
* Gain thorough understanding of the test plans for various functional components of SA.
* Learn about the interaction between development and QA group.
* Gain thorough understanding of the bug tracking system.
* Run test cases for assigned area of responsibility.
* Log issues in the bug tracking system.
* Verify and close issues once resolved by development.
* Modify test cases in case additional information is required.

Qualifications
* Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
* Background in software test methodology
* Experience with a commercial bug tracking system (Quix would be an asset)
* Multiplatform experience including -UX, Solaris, Windows and Linux
* Extensive experience with Web Servers (iPlanet, Apache, IIS)
* Extensive experience with Application Servers such as Tomcat, WebSphere and WebLogic
* Experience with Directory environments, including Active Directory and OpenLDAP
* Experience with Network Security
* Some experience with Radius, Securid, IWA or NTLM/Kerberos
* Troubleshooting and debugging skills with distributed multi-tier applications
* Able to focus on key deliverables in a fast-paced development environment
* Good oral and written communication skills
* A self-starter who can co-ordinate with a team, yet work independently towards a common goal
