Position: Full Time

The Role
To provide comprehensive research and information services to consulting staff using appropriate electronic, print and other resources. Work alongside case teams to assist in research planning, information management, training and capture of research experience.
This role will suit an intelligent and ambitious individual who is interested in making a career in research and aspires to develop industry specializations. The role will provide many learning opportunities for a team player who is hardworking and motivated by achieving consistently high standards of quality output.
The successful candidate should have an excellent customer service attitude, be a self starter and proactive. He/she will have experience working at a professional services firm.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
o To undertake quick turnaround & complex research, involving filtering and often synthesizing research results
o To take an active interest in building knowledge of sources and database skill set by working across various industry sectors
o To initiate and share knowledge and resource information via intranet/web 2.0 technologies and other special key projects as assigned
o To assist other researchers with organising training & inductions for consultants and consulting service support staff
o Under the guidance of a Senior Researcher or IS manager regularly participate in skill development activities both internal and external
o Any other duties which are compatible with the main job objectives as described above
Personal Attributes
o Proactive, confident and motivated individual with drive, strong customer service oriented
o Patience and attention to detail and accuracy (Zero defect)
o Good organisational and time management skills, and ability to prioritise & manage expectations
o Assertive and able to take the lead to ensure tasks are completed and deadlines met
o A team player but also able to work on their own initiative in a fast paced environment
o Good sense of humour, outgoing and fun to work with
Qualifications
Essential:
o First degree (Economics or Business related preferred) or equivalent experience in a consulting, investment banking or other professional services research environment
o Good online database skills - Factiva, Thomson Research, Onesource, WIND, CEIC, M&A databases, specialist sector sources/database and other standard business research tools
o Minimum 2-3 years demonstrated competency in conducting business research inquiries using electronic and print resources in a fast-paced professional services environment
o Written and verbal communication skills in native language and English
o Proficiency with WORD, Excel and etc
Desirable:
o Relevant experience in Industry Goods and Services (automotive, energy, machinery, logistics etc) market research
o Training and presentation skills
o Office working hours are 9.00am - 6.00pm, Mon - Fri, though flexibility beyond these core hours may be required to meet client & business needs
